I think LEGO has more opportunities promoting BrickLink longer term for both New and Used pieces. I've had problems in orders from PaB which weren't ideal for me, but from the LEGO perspective this is additional cost they have to manage. For Used pieces, promoting their support for BrickLink helps in environmental sustainability through recycling of used bricks.
