It would create an interesting marketing problem for LEGO. If you've not
read LEGO's Fair Play statement, it's worth reading it:

I'm not a lawyer, but would it be considered unfair competition if PaB was
added into BrickLink?
I think LEGO has more opportunities promoting BrickLink longer term for both
New and Used pieces. I've had problems in orders from PaB which weren't
ideal for me, but from the LEGO perspective this is additional cost they have
to manage.
For Used pieces, promoting their support for BrickLink helps in environmental
sustainability through recycling of used bricks.

Not to mention that stores on BL can not have more than one physical location
from which they ship from.
