Can all of these be changed to show the top of the plates in order to conform with every other part on bricklink? Of course. Anyone who has the parts - and is willing to - can upload new images for them just like everyone else does for all other images. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogImageAdd.page?itemType=P In other words, there is nothing special the catalog admins can do about this, and the standard processes are in place for the community to fix it.
