While I was working on cleaning up part   *  4532 Container, Cupboard 2 x 3 x 2 (Undetermined Type) Parts: Container {Light Bluish Gray} I came across multiple sets such as   *  71006-1 (Inv) The Simpsons House 2504 Parts, 6 Minifigures, 2014 Sets: The Simpsons where they have the undetermined as a normal entry and then have a solid/hollow version as an alternate in the set. for example set   *  71006-1 (Inv) The Simpsons House 2504 Parts, 6 Minifigures, 2014 Sets: The Simpsons has   *  4532 Container, Cupboard 2 x 3 x 2 (Undetermined Type) Parts: Container {Orange} as a regular part with match ID 10 then has   *  4532a Container, Cupboard 2 x 3 x 2 - Solid Studs Parts: Container {Orange} as an alternate with match ID 10 but when watching a new build of the set it has   *  4532b Container, Cupboard 2 x 3 x 2 - Hollow Studs Parts: Container {Orange} then there are sets like   *  3179-1 (Inv) Repair Truck 114 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2010 Sets: Town: City: Traffic where   *  4532a Container, Cupboard 2 x 3 x 2 - Solid Studs Parts: Container {Light Bluish Gray} with match ID 3 in the main section and   *  4532 Container, Cupboard 2 x 3 x 2 (Undetermined Type) Parts: Container {Light Bluish Gray} with match ID 3 is listed as an alternate. so I'm a little confused as to how to handle these ones. when alternates are the main part in the inventory and the a or b is in the alternates or when a or b is in the main inventory and the undetermined version is listed as an alternate is this something that happened when the part was separated? I dont really know what to do with these Thanks! -Jason

It happens when a part isn't split properly. The new variant enters the catalog and the old one is not marked undetermined and the partner specific piece isn't created. [...] (2 months ago, Apr 7, 2024, to Catalog)
