Or in other words: Unless you have space restrictions, is the 87407 flat out the better choice? I'm basically asking, because I'm unsure what gear I should extend my stock on to build future models with. I'm trying to reduce alternative items and only get the better (not necessarily newer) version now. Because when I re-started my LEGO "carreer", I didn't really know what I was doing and bought a lot of old parts, where I later learned, that better and cheaper alternatives exist.
