There may be an alternative. Depending upon what method you are using to pay
(PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, etc.), you could go directly to that site, log in, send
money to the e-mail address in the invoice, then use the BrickLink contact member
function to contact the seller and explain what happened and that you are paying
directly from the pay site. If you use this method, be sure to include your BL
Order # and you BL User ID in a short note along with the payment.

I'd say first ask the seller his paypal address, as it may not be in he invoice.
If he agrees...
Pay manually, then set the order paid while clicking the check box.
Then send an e-mail to the seller to confirm you've paid (in case PayPal
forgets to send the seller the payment email...)
If he doesn't (?), simply ask cancellation because you can't pay.

| Hey!
Seller here, quick question about the offsite payment system.
I've sent multiple messages to the help desk asking for the possibility to
enable offsite payments (as described on the site)
I comply with the 2 criteria.
It has been 1.5 months since my first message and 4 weeks since the last.
Any tips? Anyone?
|
Patience, just patience...
And note that a vast majority of non-BE buyers will anyway prefer PayPal or Stripe

The minifigs will probably sell well enough without the sets.
However, the sets will not sell well without the minifigures.
If you have the complete sets, with all the minifigs, then sell it all together.
If you are missing significant parts for the set that may not be worth replacing,
then you will probably want to list the minifigs separately, and part out the
remaining pieces of the set to sell as parts.

| I don't think that any of the responses to your issue were doubting you.
They were asking for clarifying details of a post that could be interpreted in
a couple of ways.
One of the great things about the helpful responses on the forum is that multiple
people may be helped by reading responses to an issue raised by a single post.
That is why it is a good thing when the answers range more broadly to related
issues. They may not be completely relevant to your specific case, but they may
be an explanation that someone else with a similar issue needs.

Well, we aren’t mind-readers and your first post was confusing (using set
vocabulary but talking about minifigures).
Anyway, it’s all cleared-up now and you got answers.

It is important to know if you bought sets or minifigs, as there is a crucial
difference between them when it comes to CMF. Sometimes even apparently experienced
buyers buy the minifig entry expecting to get the accessories.
|
IIRC, it happens that sellers are confused too… or for sellers to confuse things
further by including the accessories in the minifigure only entries.
It’s why “minifigure only” was added to all the minifigure entries… and we still
get confused people (or tales thereof) on the forum.

| Hi All,
Need some advise on inventory management.
Do you ever recount all items in your store, go from lot to lot to check if everything
is correct.
Or do you take for granted that you sometimes miss something for an order?
Any advise is more then welcome.
|
I barely ever count or check inventory but at the same time you do not want to
put yourself in a position where you cannot fulfill an order as that is outside
Bricklinks own policy of selling what you don't have to hand. The solution
would be to only to sell a portion of your stock at a time so that you have backup
stock to fall back on so if you have 100 parts maybe only list 70 and then list
some more as your store inventory stock gets low or shows 0 left. I only start
counting once I'm down to my last 10 or so, whereupon you can list all your
remaining inventory accurately with little time taken up needing to constantly
count/stock check all the time
|
If I would have the space that could be an option, but my space I very limited.
|
you dont need any more space it's just a case of storing your parts together
but only listing some of it rather than all of it in one go.

btw, it was very weird seeing people ask to know the details of my order and
doubting me. Instead of just responding to my question.
People need to understand when someone asks a specific question, dragging the
topic away from that doesn't help and hence shouldn't be discussed.
This is the Help forum.
I wouldn't be here if this was a single extra part.

| Sounds like they can just close the NSS with proof of delivery, right? Which
means a negative review or paypal dispute are my only real options. I'll
ask the seller (again) for the partial refund for the missing parts, as a last
effort before choosing one of those options. I have no idea if paypal "permits"
partial refunds.
|
I didn't recommend an NSS for this reason, nor a PayPal dispute because PP
might just turn around and say "return for a refund, but you have to pay
for shipping". If the seller is willing to accept a return *and* pay for
return shipping then that might be the way to go.
