  Hello,

probably I'm not the first person to point this out but there are a lot of
2x2 printed tiles listed in the wrong way.

I suppose the part code is 3068b, so all the printed tiles should be 3068bp*,
but many are 3068pb*

Like : https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=3068pb2361&in=S

I believe that this is an error.

Can you confirm me?

Because when searching 3068bp*, as it should, many do not appear.

3068apb are old, old ones without groove.

3068p are printed ones that were described by LDraw before Bricklink was created.
Dan used their designations to harmonize and gave them credit.

3068px are printed ones that were described by Peeron before Bricklink was created.
Dan used their designations to harmonize and gave them credit.

3068pb are printed ones that were described on Bricklink after creation.

Yes but you didn't read sir.

Now we currently have for the same range

3068bp
and
3608pb

This is an error.

If 3068b doesn't exist anymore ALL the 3068bp should change to 3068p

So, actually the inventory is inconsistent because new tiles are under the 3068p
following the new rule that 3068b doesn't exist anymore.

But old tiles are under 3068bp.

Do you understand now?

The error there is yours. You shouldn't be searching "3068bp*".
If you go look, nothing is named that. They just put the old numbers in as
alternates so people who were unaware of the change will be able to find things
labelled with the old numbers. You are aware of the change and should only be
searching "3068p*".

If 3068b doesn't exist anymore ALL the 3068bp should change to 3068p

They did. You are finding the same pieces in both searches, except the "bp"
search will omit new ones going forward and also the peeron, LDraw, and I guess
Star Wars ones.

But old tiles are under 3068bp.

Only in their alternate numbers.

  Do you understand now?

Yes
