Hi!

I am having a small issue with a customer who claims te have recieved parts with
sun damage

He sent me pictures of what i believe are his own arches (or maybe other arches
out of the same order: i do not know) and the different "sun damaged"
parts picked out of the different lots/items

Since all parts have the same color on the inside and outside i suspect color
variations/inconsistencies from a parted out set (7094)

Trying to resolve the issue with the customer but i am wondering how yall are
handling this, also with the sand green, dark red, pearl gold and other color
inconsistencies, since it also seems to happen in modern new sets

Do you still opload the part?
Do you place a note on seperated lot?
Or ditch the parts in a bulk bin?

Thanks in advance!!!

The arches on the right look like light grey to me, not LBG (in the other pictures
the difference is not that visible), is it possible you had some old parts mixed
in?

Yep, same here. They look like light gray in good shape, not sun-damaged LBG
(although sun-damaged LBG can look like LG).

Adding: and all those parts do come in light gray.

dont worry, that is just the light in the picture. it is not (old) light gray.
but not ´normal´ light bluish gray either

An extremely noticeable distinction with sun damaged parts is that the sun damaged
part of the bricks are always the same color. If the buyer believes they are
sun damaged, they should be able to see the sides of the bricks that do not have
sun damage on them and send you photos of what the undamaged sides look like
next to the damaged sides, and the transition where the sun damaged side is visible
next to the undamaged sides. I have some old bricks that have sun damage on them
and they have it on sun damaged sides only and from the direction of the sunlight
that damaged them. The other sides of the brick are undamaged and retains the
brick's molded color.

Most common LEGO bricks that are not modified bricks have at least 6 sides. Some
sides should be free of sun damage if they are truly sun damaged.

They should send you photos of the undamaged side unless the color is consistent
over all sides. If it is consistent over all sides it is probably not sun damage,
but a differently colored brick.

Cheers ...
