According to the catalog, the UCS Venator (75367) contains 5371 parts. The box
clearly states 5374. Someone's going to have to do a recount/re-inventory
- if someone could just send me the set, I'll do it!

When you “break” the minifigures, the inventory says 5381.

You have so little faith!

Box count: 5374

Set count: 5371 with 2 minifigures

(Like every other set on BrickLink with minifigs, btw)

Break minifigs: 5381

However, this accessory pack is split up:

Part No: 72329 Name: Minifigure, Rangefinders and Visors, 8 in Bag - 4 of Each (Multipack)
*
72329 (Inv) Minifigure, Rangefinders and Visors, 8 in Bag - 4 of Each (Multipack)
Parts: Minifigure, Headgear Accessory

adding 7 parts to the overall total. LEGO counts the whole plastic bag as 1.

Which brings us to 5374.

You have so little humour!

Perhaps more humor (American) than "humour" (British) It's
not always only spelling that differentiates the two

Which was supposed to be funny? Your suggestion that the set inventory was incorrect
or my answer to it?

I am certainly the proud owner and BrickLink inventory-er of this set. I have
defended my work and now will go back to happily enjoying the view of this thing
completely taking up our dining room table. It's very, very cool. I will
take your advice and perhaps light it up for Christmas.

I think he was referring to this line
"- if someone could just send me the set, I'll do it!"
(free lego star wars Venator )
