I have here a sealed pack of 6 magnets (73092). I cannot find anything on Bricklink
about a 6 pack of magnets nor can I find any proof of it existing in any sets.
Maybe someone with more knowledge about the history of this piece could help
as I would like to list this as a sealed pack rather than opening it up and selling
them individually. Thanks!

I have an old train set that has magnets like that. It could very well be from
a set like that.

If you want to sell them that way, list them as the part with a fixed quantity
of six.

The magnets have the same mold mark on them as other ones I have. They do look
brand new. I found the package in a lot of 20 ish year old train stuff like the
my own train set and 10157. Maybe it could have been resealed in the bag it’s
currently in.

Can’t say either way, not enough knowledge about early packaging, nice find though.

Have a number of used ones myself, quite like these pieces.

Thank you that was very helpful. I searched the set number on youtube and a there
is a video from BrickTsar unboxing one. His has the exact same packaging that
I have here. Is there any way I could add something like this to the catalog?

No, we don't add individual bags from sets to the catalog. But if you want
to sell it, you can list it as incomplete under the 2159 set entry (with your
own description/photo).

It is probably better to sell it as the part entry, with a qty of 6, and in the
description note that it is a sealed bag from the set. The set is on 99 wants
lists, whereas the magnet is on about 31.5K wants lists, so a much bigger audience.
And no doubt many of the people with the set on their wants list want the set,
not a single bag from it.
