Hi. Is part 54821 in Trans-Purple more of a solid color purple? I have one and
you can't really see thru it. I can't seem to get a good picture.

Yes.

You shouldn't be able to see through it at all. The type of plastic used
is already very milky before any colorant is even added.

I also have one that looks like Pearl Light Gray and at the same time Flat Silver.
Not sure how to tell the difference. I have tried different lighting too.

If it’s dark list it as flat silver is lighter then pearl laughter gray but otherwise
add a note saying it might be the other one

What color is laughter?

In French, we have “rire jaune” (laugh yellow / yellow laughter) for a forced,
hollow laughter.

And according to the wiktionary, the same laughter’s green in Dutch (groen lachen),
German (grün lachen, grünes Lachen), and Italian (risata verde).

Don’t know if there are other colours

Does anyone have these two colors? If you have these two colors, please try to
get an image of them side by side. Looking at the catalog image for both colors
seems to indicate they use the exact same image!

Here is the photo you requested.
I believe the colors are, from top to bottom, Pearl Dark Gray, Pearl Light Gray
(darker version), and Pearl Light Gray (lighter version)
These all have the marbling of the Pearl colors.
If the OP has a Zamor sphere that is darker, it is most likely still Pearl Light
gray Or Pearl Dark Gray.

Flat silver would not have this marbling effect.

The flat silver Zamor sphere does look marbled.

Thanks! That clears some confusion up!

It appears that it will be necessary to remove some of the incorrect alternate
images for this item, as some colors have the pearl light grey image as an alternate
image for the color, which does not make sense to me.

Can someone please submit catalog change requests to have the incorrect alternate
images removed or corrected, as needed?

Cheers ...

I don't see anything that needs adjusting. All of the correct images are
listed under the correct colors as far as Flat Silver, Pearl Light Gray, and
Pearl Dark Gray are concerned.

It gets interesting when you look at each color for the part. Some of them have
the Pearl Light Grey image, even though that's not anywhere near correct.

I'm not just talking about the colors in this thread, I'm talking about
the colors listed for the part. I'm not talking about the colors that have
a box for the color of the part around them, I'm okay with that.

Take bright Green for instance. Why does the Pearl Light Grey image for this
color of the part have anything relevant to this color of the part? I
seriously do not understand why it exists. Can you kindly explain that?

Sometimes this Catalog takes things a little too far ...

Cheers ...

The image you are seeing is the default large image for the part. It will show
up in the image list no matter what color you are looking at. This is the same
way it works on all parts in the catalog.

For instance, try

Part No: 53989 Name: Arm Mechanical, Exo-Force / Bionicle, Thin Support
*
53989 Arm Mechanical, Exo-Force / Bionicle, Thin Support
Parts: Minifigure, Body Part

This is how it has always been.

Cheers,
Randy
