| Hi all,
I am sorting a bulk used lot now and I am confused about one part reference.
The one I have (enclosed photo, sorry for the bad quality...) probably comes
from the set 4708 Hogwarts Express since I also have a lot of its parts with
stickers...
so I guess mine is :
and that's what is written on the underside, and so not :
Where I am confused is by the name "WITHOUT Bottom Notches" and since there is
no photo of the back (bottom ? ) I'm a little at loss and come seek your
help...
I've checked rebrickable and on it is the opposite problem, there is a photo
of 40253 that is like mine, but not of the back of 30101
Long story short I'm pretty sure I have the 40253 but I'd like someone
to confirm, and it would be nice, if that's the case, to change the names
to something like "without back support / notches not reinforced" and "with
back support / notches reinforced" and add a photo to clear the difference (I
could try to take and edit a better one when I get back home later if anyone
is interested...)
Another possibility is that I could be totally mistaken about what are really
those "Bottom Notches"...
Thanks a lot and a nice day, David

This one has a completely flat bottom.

This one has a stepped bottom that has two big notches cut out of the bottom.

IOW: the pillars on the sides go all the way down.

|
IOW: the pillars on the sides stop 1 brick short of the ground.
If David did like me, he tried to see differences in the threshold, looking for
‘notches’ and totally missed the big brick-sized holes on the sides
