I still can’t tell the Pearl Dark Grays apart. The unidentified parts are all
from 2010/11.

The left and right arms are old Pearl Dark Gray. (2007)
The armor piece and liftarm are also old Pearl Dark Gray. (2008 and 2005)

What is the middle arm? It doesn’t match any other color I have and glows under
a UV light. It came from 8077 back in 2010.
What is the crossbow?
What is the helmet piece?

The flat end spear is new Pearl Dark Gray.
What is the round end spear?
What is the halberd?

The helmet and the weapons are the new Pearl Dark Gray. Color inconsistency with
the old PDG could explain the middle arm?

One of my newer PDG arms (far left in the photo below) was made in pre-2010 mold,
and has a slight difference in formula compared to the other new PDGs. I've
noticed color variations in both PDGs. The new Pearl Dark Gray is simply a lot
more consistent.

Just to explain for other people- 2010 is when the current Pearl Dark Gray (316
Titanium Metallic) replaced the old Pearl Dark Gray (148 Dark Grey Metallic).

Thank you! This is one of the few colors that still gives me trouble. The liftarms
match the new exo-force arms, and those match the old armor pieces. I'll
have to find more instances of the older color in my collection.

Whenever there is "Pearl" in the color name, expect variations in that color.
They're meant to be the same, but because of the way pearl colors are made,
they don't end up being as close to each other as normal colors.

Honestly, I don’t see any difference in these pics
Maybe it’s me, maybe it’s my screen… but if there’s any difference, it’s way
below the ones seen in other colours (not even talking about other Pearl colours,
just look at Reddish Brown, Dark Blue… or even White).

Old PDG is definitely warmer in hue in my experience, but due to how inconsistent
it is, some parts sure may be close to new PDG... In part, this is because the
color was updated several times, and the new PGD, much like with silver, never
really being intended to be too noticeably different.

It's still weird to me how pearl gold has never been renamed or given a new
ID despite all the variations its gone through... even with dark red, it was
renamed, though it retained its ID.
