Hey all,
I recently looked for

Part No: 792c03 Name: Arm Holder Brick 2 x 2 with Round Top Hole with Arms (792 / 793 / 795) (Homemaker Figure / Maxifigure Torso Assembly)
*
792c03 (Inv) Arm Holder Brick 2 x 2 with Round Top Hole with Arms (792 / 793 / 795) (Homemaker Figure / Maxifigure Torso Assembly)
Parts: Arm
and suggested adding "Maxifigure torso assembly" to the name, since that's
what I know it as; the term "maxifigure" I took from the hand:

Part No: 3614a Name: Plate, Round 1 x 1 with Tow Ball with Round Hole (Homemaker Figure / Maxifigure Hand)
*
3614a Plate, Round 1 x 1 with Tow Ball with Round Hole (Homemaker Figure / Maxifigure Hand)
Parts: Plate, Round

Part No: 3614b Name: Plate, Round 1 x 1 with Tow Ball with Hexagon Shaped Hole (Homemaker Figure / Maxifigure Hand)
*
3614b Plate, Round 1 x 1 with Tow Ball with Hexagon Shaped Hole (Homemaker Figure / Maxifigure Hand)
Parts: Plate, Round
But the term implemented was "Homemaker" instead of "Maxifigure". So I wonder:
Is "Maxifigure" wrong? Shouldn't the name of the hand then be changed as
well?
And what about the arm?

Part No: 3613 Name: Arm Piece with Tow Ball Socket, 3 Fingers
*
3613 Arm Piece with Tow Ball Socket, 3 Fingers
Parts: Arm
I'd fill in catalogue suggestions myself, but I don't want to cause more
mess by mistake...
Cheers,
Patrick

It was done that way because

Well, I guess we need to decide what term is going to be used and then go one
way with all of them, or add both of them to all of them.

It would be nice to have other opinions on this. If we don't get anymore,
I will probably opt for having both names in the titles for everything.

Cheers,
Randy

If you're going to have "Homemaker Figure" then you may as well have "Homemaker
Maxifigure"

I always thought that:

The 'Homemaker' sets were without Figs.
The sets with the Maxifigs were 'Building Sets with People'.

But I see now that some Maxifig sets are also listed in Category Homemaker.

The 'arms' and 'hands' aren't always arms and hands.
Check for example the Light Gray ones.
The white Torso is also used in a Space set.

Wouldn’t the astronauts be maxifigs if they had heads insteads of brick-built
helmets?

Is not what i meant to do that with that post.
I just wanted him to see that parts can be use in other way than what the original
way they where use as.
The only question here is if the 'Torso' and 'Hands* should have
that 'extra' in the name or not.

But there was an aside (that I kept above) regarding what is a maxifigure and
TakeAbricK cited the Moon Landing set saying there was no maxifigs in there.
I just wondered why the astronauts in that set weren’t considered maxifigs.

Dare I confuse matters still a bit more? There is also this set:

Set No: 261  Name: Bathroom
*
261-1 (Inv) Bathroom
172 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 1979
Sets: Homemaker
It is a Homemaker set, and it contains a minifigure AND a maxifigure, so a "Homemaker
figure" is not necessarily a maxifigure! Riddle me this, brickman!

Does that matter? There are many parts named after their primary feature / function
yet get used in a different way occasionally.

This request has been completed.

I believe it is beneficial to have both sets of terms in the item names, therefore
I have updated all 36 items in the catalog to include "Homemake Figure / Maxifigure"
in their names.

Cheers,
Randy
