Russell should recommend that TLG hire you for customer engagement!

Can my wife open an account with a different e-mail address at our actual address,
is this permitted.

She would like to buy things at times, not necessarily with my knowledge, presents
etc.

There is no chance that she will open a store as she knows nothing about Lego
at all.

Thanks in advance

Absolutely! My wife and I have done that for years! She handles the minifigures

Your next ConstrucToys contest is here. The prize this time is an $80 store coupon,
or considering the economy, a $50 dollar bill. Your choice. There are no strings
attached, just giving back

Contest is another package arrival estimation.

The package this time is traveling USPS Ground Advantage from Washington to New
York. Mailed this morning with a 6:45 PST acceptance scan.

Contest Parameters:

~ Two entries per member, per 24 hour period

~ No limit to the overall number of entries per member

~ Both date and time are required

~ All entries must be posted as a reply here, for transparency

~ With identical entries, the first takes precedence.

~ Closest to USPS declared delivered time and date, wins

I'll announce the package's periodic travel updates to keep it interesting.
Will also post the "Delivered" notification screenshot, for all to determine
the winner.

Goofing around encouraged... Tear it up, have some fun

Hmmm now I just need to know who will deliver it and then ask them to deliver
it on one of my times(Evil laughter)

Hello All:
My store has been suspended for "Preventive Action" reason.
I dont fully understand why? I dont aware of any violations of terms (as I know
off).
Tried to contact Admin team by sending few messages via the Help Desk page.
But I dont get any response yet.
Anybody has any idea of response timeline from Admin?
Any idea how to get back the store online again?

The challenge is, dont know what the problem is to take any corrective action.

Thanks

I'm 100% kind with amateurs sellers, but less to big shops who doesn't

That is really the same as shopping elsewhere, if they want the parts. The helpdesk

Thanks for your time, and the others who commented.
I'm going to open the rest of the series 26 cases to see if I get one with

Why would there be a black border around white print on a black part?

The printing looks intentional on the yellow leg.

Sure you can. You just add the fixed fee to your S&H costs for all transactions
and the percentage to your part prices.

So everyone else is wrong?

Well, you cannot add on a fee saying it is to cover PayPal fees. Adding on a
large fixed fee to cover it for an average size order or a percentage fee
at checkout for no specified reason is likely to get the buyer to dump their
cart and least favourite the store. So while a seller can try to pass the fees
on in other ways, more open pricing is more buyer friendly. And slightly higher
prices don't really matter if a buyer comes to your store because of parts
availability, it only really matters if you aim to be the absolute cheapest store.
But then, if a buyer comes to your store because you are cheapest and you suddenly
add on a large fee, again they might back out and least favourite the store so
as not to be caught again.

It says right in their terms that all electronic payments including PayPal which
is listed, you pay 3.5%. I know everything you are saying and I agree with you.
Thanks for clarifying

It wasn't even a narrow road just regular country road.

It was a very funny and memorable journey made even more memorable by him giving

glad he made it in one piece!

Basically yes.

Your prices should includes your costs.

Like your Internet access cost isn't free; will you make an extra fee for
it?

Also: Rental (?), Insurance, Power bill, water, toilet paper, toner, bank fees,
accounting cost, stickers, salary, gas to go to the post office...

Not specifically. You can charge everyone the same rate regardless of payment
method though.

Speaking only for myself, I tend not to order from stores that nickle-and-dime
buyers on fees.

+1

Of course I'll calculate and often it's still worth to buy with fees,
but I had to spend some time to calculate and compare

Which is why in a general meaning I try to avoid shops with fees.

Note conversion fees are quite difficult and may represent the most.

Say you've a 5% PayPal or payment fee (on order total only), but then you've
to pay in a specific currency (HUF?) then it's another 5% but on the whole
(including fees AND shipping).

In the end it's not at all as simple as 5+5, it's maybe 12 or 13% fees
you pay...

I think using that verbiage is against paypal's TOS.

I also think someone else once mentioned that it's against paypal's TOS
to have a cheaper payment option than paypal if multiple options are available
at checkout. So if paypal is offered as a payment option, it can't be a higher
price than like a check or cash order. This was probably more relevant in the
days before onsite payments were required.

One thing I've questioned though is if it's just the verbiage.

So, in theory, a store could charge a 3.49% fee + 0.49 extra and call it an "admin
fee", "service fee", or "general fee", and be safe as long
as they didn't call it a "paypal fee".

It says in their terms that 3.5% is added for all electronic payments and it
was added to the order. Just wanted to make sure before I cause problems.

Nope, fully against PayPal's terms and service in most countries. It was
changed pre-COVID but many stores, especially in Europe, try to do it. If you
find someone doing it, alert them to the rule and notify the BL staff as I think
it is against their rules as well.

Additionally, I believe the way the PP rule is written, if they specifically
state it is to cover PP fees or just fees, then it is against. If it is just
a fee that does not say that it is not specific, then it is allowable but cringe.

Nope, fully against PayPal's terms and service in most countries. It was
changed pre-COVID but many stores, especially in Europe, try to do it. If you
find someone doing it, alert them to the rule and notify the BL staff as I think
it is against their rules as well.

Ah, good ol' Atlanta. I hate driving through there.

Do I count 6 lanes? I'm sure I saw a 10 lane in Columbus once.

No no! You don't want to terrorize kids on a LEGO Forum, do you?

But on second thought, by the looks of those legs maybe we don’t want to see
it

This is the biggest highway I’ve ever driven on!

There’s a section of the Interstate in Orange County, CA, where the 605 transitions
into the 405 as it merges with the 22 (Garden Grove Frwy). There used to be 18
lanes of traffic on that stretch of Hwy, 9 each way. Add to that, are two
major N/S bound Blvd's that intersect that same stretch, each with
8 lanes of traffic. So many are trying to get on, or get off within those couple
of miles

I still remember the challenge it was at times getting all the way over, especially
with the heavy truck traffic from the Port of Long Beach, using it too. If you
have gander with Google, it still may be the same chaotic case. It was always
impressive, that stretch of Hwy. Not just it's expanse, but the "Road
Warrior" feel of it too

And always working on some part of it. Past that mess a few weeks ago

Yeah, that's the real rub when trying to get around nowadays, the perpetual
road work that never seems to get much of anything done. Unfortunately, we've
got our share of those up here in Seattle too, Kevin. The never-ending projects
that take inexplicable years rather than the expected weeks or even months. Years
of tying up the daily commute of thousands.
