I don't have the old type myself and after watching lots of images an video's

Not sure about this one, see Instruction pages 192-220.
The only match between the two is '62MR56', which isn't in the names
and the background is different (these match the stickered panels below these
liftarms).
- should the numbers indeed have L and R (for the sticker backgrounds are not
the same)
- shouldn't 62MR56 at least be mentioned in the names

As far as I know, this brick doesn't exist with this print. The very small
catalog image was copied from the box. The brick is also Medium Lime instead
of Lime. See:

same print as in the set image in the change request above.
The safest way imo is to mark this brick for deletion and add a new one with

which is correct
but after resubmitting, it says:
Request to Change Part Color Code for This Item is Already Pending Approval
which is not correct.
So it looks the only way to fix it is by this forum request?

It's the undetermined entry and all PCC's are already known under the
variants.
TLG data still shows old PCC's and part 4215 in set inventories of today.
At least we can prevent that the undetermined version doesn't turn up in
new inventories. It's still possible to add them, although it's marked
for deletion.
Besides that I noticed that a lot of PCC's are added to both 4215a ánd 4215b
version.

There has been a history of changes in Quatro Sets from Light Purple to Purple

Both used, but I bought these for the Purple 2x2 and 2x4 bricks I collected.
Unfortunately they all were Light Purple, which I already had in my color collection.
I still didn't find a Purple one and I think here4bricks614 is right, that
it just doesn't exist. There's also no PCC for Purple.

Just noticed today that the Light Purple I have, looks exactly as the Purple
color image on Bricklink and I'm pretty sure that's the reason of all
these change requests.
Both Purple and Light Purple images of this brick are far too light.
I will try to make a better picture of the Light purple soon. It's hard to
get the color right. But now it looks like Dark Pink to me on Bricklink:
