The issue Jan described is clearly a bug of the new catalog entry page design. Agreed.    It's absolutely ridiculous to have us post suggestions to re-implement features which were left out in new desgins(s) just because they either forgot to adopt something to a new desgin or did not understand people's workflow or *thought* they were not needed. I also agree to that, but with the current overload of error messages I can bring myself to show *some* understanding. I was NOT happy about that Helpdesk response though. The issue has been fixed, and the feature is back.
