Yes, most know it's wrong, but maybe it's time to change all that, but then offcourse alternate heads must be possible before such thing can happen. I have several 'closed stud' heads and 'solid stud' heads, that are not even in catalog, this 'oldie' for example: I HAVE been thinking of a way around this and the classic spacemen, but apart from a new catalog entry for the figure there is no real way to do this as you can't have alternate parts in a minifigure inventory.
