in your terms as even if the package doesn't have tracking/insurance the
seller is still responsible for it

And especially while using PayPal
Whatever if the buyer or seller chose NOT to use tracking or registration, the
buyer will 99.99% win a claim if there's no tracking or registration used.

Hi! Could you tell me a bit more about what the term claim means in this situation?
Is it some internal process here on Bricklink for when a buyer/seller has a disagreement,
or is it a third-party thing?

It’s referring to a bank/paypal claim. If an order never arrives and the seller
dosnt refund the buyer then the buyer can file a claim with their bank or with
PayPal who will then refund the payment.

Ah ok, I understand. Has this ever happened to one of you guys? If one is unlucky
and a package gets lost in transit, is it right to just take the loss as a seller
if this situation occurs, or should one try to get PayPal to refund the payment?
