So they added the white 2x4 plates and moved the 1x2 plates in this useless position (add, never remove). And they needed 2x4 because there’s 3 holes to cover in white and the 1x2 plates are blue. So, if you have the old version: don’t use the 2x4 plates there, use the 1x2 plates instead.    Does anybody have a copy of the other version of instructions? Nope, new one only here.
