Dear strelitzia,

first of all, thanks for your answer. I submitted a copy of my ID card (as a
Proof of identification), a copy of my electrcity bill (as a Proof of residence)
and a picture of myself with some lego sets I added in my inventory (as a Proof
of inventory): is there anything else I am supposed to provide?

"Step 1: Add shipping methods" and "Step 2: Add inventory to your store" are
complete too.

Thanks also for the business tip: I signed the contract one week after I submitted
the "new seller verification request" on Bricklink, confident that the approval
would have come in a few days. I wanted to provide the best service as possible
to the buyers, even if I am aware there will be very few orders at the begininings;
but, if I don't provide them the best shipping service as possible, even
losing money at the beginning, my chances to grow will be limited. In any case,
you're right, it was my mystake to take a fast approval process for granted
and sign a contract. I have learnt the lesson for the future!

thanks again

Simone

Hi there. Mine took a few weeks to come through - I didnt see a notification
that it was done, but I just saw that I was able to hit the open button on my
store management page one day !

Make sure you have submitted all the required verification evidence and it should
come through eventually.

Business tip - dont commit to fixed outgoings like courier contracts until you
know you are ready to need them - thats your mistake, not Bricklink's. How
do you even know how many orders you will get and how many packages you will
need to ship each day. It takes time to build a reputation, and that might mean
only getting a very small number of orders at first, from those who are willing
to exeriment with a new store. Everyone starts small, and if they provide the
right balance of excellence in service, availability and prices there is a good
chance to grow. But if you pay couriers when you dont even know you need them
- you will lose money.

Good luck

  Hello everybod!

I am posting this message because, as I am relatively new on Bricklink, I need
your help.

I have been actively buying parts on Bricklink since October 2021, in preparation
for the opening of my store, both to have a decent inventory to sell and to acquire
the required expertise to deal with Bricklink. During the last months I have
also arranged all my terms to be published in my store: among the other things,
I bought all the necessary packaging material and I signed a contract with a
courier, which I have already started to pay even if I have made non shipments
so far.

The reason was that I was confident that the Bricklink new seller verification
process woukld have been quite fast, as I read in some forums and heard from
some sellers who had just opened their store (in one case, it took less than
a day for the verification process (request submitted in the morning and approved
in the afternoon)).

Unfortunately, I have submitted my request for a new seller verification on Bricklink
on April, 17th 2022 but the verification has not been completed yet.

My username is SIMMAJOR and the name of my shop is SIMMONBRICK.

I have also sent several emails to the Bricklink customer service but they have
not replied to any of them.

I am desperate because, as I said, I am already paying for the contract with
the courier, besides all the other expenses for parts, packaging materiale and
storing items.

My experience with the LEGO customer service has always been great but the one
with the Bricklink customer service is, instead, terrible: why does Bricklink
have such a terrbile customer service?

I ASK YOU IF YOU CAN PLEASE HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND HOW I CAN SOLVE MY PROBLEM
in order to have my store verified and allowed to open.

Looking forward to hearing from you

All the best
