There are a few things. Name from 2850 was just changed from "Technic, Engine Cylinder" to "Technic Engine Cylinder with Side Slots" in Sep 28, 2020 not when the new 2850b part was created in 2012. Why the entry of the variant was cataloged as 2850b if there was no plan to also create 2850a by splitting 2850? Appearance of 2850b now starts from 2009, but it is the catalog only since 2012, so sets inventoried in between that dates using 2850 could have been actually with 2850b, but we don't know. Some of them haven't been verified after the addition of the new variant to the catalog. That's is why I added a question mark at the tittle.         *  9392-1 (Inv) Quad Bike 199 Parts, 2012 Sets: Technic: Model: Off-Road PD: I have one 2850b in stock and it has molded the ID 2850, so 2850b entry is good
