Our store inventory pages have a subtle background color change that alternates between each item. I suggest that the catalog pages have that same feature.

I couldn't agree more. The shading used on all the list features on this site is one of its most practical, logical features. I can't think of any reason to stop using [...] (87 months ago, Mar 23, 2017, to Suggestions)
