About Me

My first LEGO set, Flower Display - 40187, was given to me by my boyfriend in summer 2019. I was never into LEGOs as a kid so he got it for me on his family trip to LEGOLAND, Orlando. When he got back and gave it to me, he proceeded to watch me struggle building the 100 piece set because I didn’t realize the fine motor skills needed to connect these little pieces. By the time I finished that set, I was hooked. Soon after that I collected the complete Disney Minifig Series 2 and purchased the complete Disney Series 1 from ebay.

Since then, I have jumped headfirst into the AFOL world. Collecting and displaying are what I am into right now, but I would love to get into MOCs when I get some more time. I am a big fan of Star Wars, Disney, Marvel, and Jurassic Park, so those are the sets I tend to gravitate too.

I have more Star Wars sets than anything. I can’t really pick favorite sets but I love my UCS Tie Fighter (75095) and USC Sandcrawler (75059). I am big on having complete collections and right now I am focussing on collecting all the Microfighters because I think they are adorable. I also have a thing for tie fighters and have acquired most of them. I don’t have many Marvel or Jurassic sets. I love my Avengers Tower (40334). I have quite a few Marvel sets on my wish list. My favorite Jurassic Legos are the baby velociraptors. I only have the Lockwood Estate (75930) set personally, but my boyfriend - BLU - has the rest of the sets in that wave so I can appreciate them. Disney sets that are in original LEGO system style are my preference, and I have quite a few of them on my wishlist too. Other than licenced LEGOs, I love the Ideas line. My favorite Ideas set right now are the Birds (21301).

I have not really gotten into collecting minifigs yet because that is a rabbithole I am not ready to go down yet. I did collect Disney S1 and S2. BLU and I have also managed to acquire a pretty decent collection of Star Wars Droids.

BluRea-Bricks

I started my store - BluRea-Bricks - in January 2020 as a way to get more involved in the LEGO community. I like being able to get sets, appreciate them for a while, then send them on their way to a new home. Another reason is to support BLU’s hobby of LEGO photography. This way we could get sets for him to photograph then they could be sold when he was done. This keeps us from going into debt with our LEGO hobbies!
