My name is David(or Dr. Blockenstein), the lone mad scientist responsible for running this crazy castle of bricks. When I'm not performing experiments of the brick variety I spend my time doing all things nerdy.

I enjoy gaming, collecting movie memorabilia & autographs, going to concerts, and I'm also an aspiring special FX artists and sculptor. Most importantly though, I love all things bricks. My favorite sets to collect are UCS of Star Wars, Ghostbusters, The Simpsons, and anything else movie or monsters related.

I'm currently working on a computer science degree with a focus on programming. At the moment I don't have a "normal" full time job, and I take all my classes online at home, so I have quite a lot of time to dedicate to the castle.

The castle

I've been buying and selling on eBay now for over 15 years, but I only made the transition over to Bricklink in January 2015. I love the simple format, the much cheaper fee system, and the community here is awesome!

In my short time on here I've already had over 150 orders placed from all over the world. I've had the pleasure of dealing with some incredibly nice and awesome buyers, and hope to establish Castle Brickenstein as a place people always feel confident to return to. I work hard to make sure every aspect of ordering from the castle is as smooth as possible, and strive to always give the best buyer experience.

Right now the castle is still very small, but I'm constantly trying to expand the store and offer more parts every chance I get. As of this writing I have the 7th largest store out of 60 in Maryland. My current short term goal is to reach #1 in size and experience within the next year.

Packing & Shipping

I take great care in packing and shipping every order the same, regardless of size or value. Brand new(never re-used) and durable bubble mailers are primarily used, with the occasional box depending on the sensitivity of the parts being ordered. I always try to ship the lightest and cheapest way possible without sacrificing packing quality. All parts are also wrapped in extra bubble wrap for safe travels.

One aspect I feel that stands out the most is my parts organization. I never mix lots together, no matter how small or large the order is. I use a combination of zip-bags and a vacuum sealer to create chambers that seal and separate all lots. This not only helps prevent loss of parts in the packing/shipping process, but also allows for buyers to very quickly and easily verify parts ordered!
