| I know that minifigure listings on BrickLink do not include utensiles/weapons.
And some stores will sell minifigures with their respective weapons. I do not
have a problem with this, it makes sense. However, I would like to recommend
some kind of system that will at least tell you which utensiles/weapons go with
each figure.
Say that I wanted to buy Mr. Freeze
from set 76000
If I also wanted his freeze ray, I would have to find the instructions online,
find his assembly and lookup the specific pieces for that weapon. It would be
nice if there was a link on the minifigure page that gave his weapon inventory.

Agreed! That's a pretty great suggestion. Perhaps there could be a link
on the minifig to it's accessory? So when you add it to your cart it tells
you what you are looking for.

| You are right that it might not be easy to add. But if BrickLink implements
the structure to do it, I know that I would be very willing to go through instruction
manuals and add utensile/weapon inventory. I am sure others would be willing
to help as well.
I guess there would need to also be a clear definition of what would constitute
as a utensile/weapon that correspons with a minifigure. Would it only be acceptable
if it is included in the initial assembly of the figure? Or maybe if it is being
used/held at the end of the instructions as well? That would have to be determined.

That's a good idea, it might not be that easy to add though.

| Yes it may not be that easy but isn't this the kind of stuff brick link needs
to do to stay on top and make sure it stays there?

It is a very good idea and should be a relatively simple bit of database work
for the programmers.
The main complexity is that some minifigures appear in multiple sets and therefore
have different utensils, however if the linking is set up correctly the appearance
could be very simple.
As long as the rules are strict in the sense that the link can only be made where
the instructions show the minifig with that utensil then it should be very do-able

Also, while at it, also include the alternate headgear (hair vs helmet) that
some of the figs come with, like in the SW and Superhero sets.
So does Jabba [m=sw402] have Slave Princess Lei [m=sw485] for an accessory?
She is held on to by a chain. ...technicalities
